History of J Suttons Jerry Sutton established a wooden oar & scull company in 1971 and soon gained an enviable reputation for outstanding quality and service in the hand crafted manufacture of oars & sculls. The early honours for Suttons included the Olympic and World Championship gold, silver and bronze medals and at Henley Royal Regatta, wins at all levels. Many prestigious crews have all used Suttons oars and sculls including Oxford and Cambridge.
In our time we have made almost every type of oar and scull imaginable from 30ft barge oars to supplying the elite of the racing world. Upon Jerry's retirement, the mantle has been taken up by Mark Stanley who today continues the excellence that was laid down all those years ago. |
